What’s the actual point of Reddit awards? Do they do anything?
I’ve been using Reddit a lot lately as a way to escape mainstream social media, and I keep seeing these awards being given out on different subs. But I’m genuinely curious—do they actually have a specific function or benefit for the person receiving them?
Or is it basically just a "super upvote" to show you really liked a post, without the OP actually gaining anything tangible from it? I'd love to know how this system actually works!
