I’m writing this on my lunch because I’m honestly so fed up. I am kind of a floating supervisor, I typically close but I work peaks and opens every now and again. Our store is a drive thru and it’s in a pretty busy location so we are always somewhat busy. (I worked at a much busier store before this one but this one definitely isn’t slow) My manager will literally only staff the mornings. They have 7-9 floors every morning while we only have a total of 2 closing supervisors, and 3 closing baristas.. as you can imagine none of us ever get time off while the openers always get approved. I come in and work 12-close and it’s just me (keyholder) and 2 baristas from 12 to close. We all have the same lunches and breaks.. count and order nights are a mess. She refuses to schedule or hire more closers. I bring it up ALL the time as does everyone else. The tasking is not divided equally between opening and closing. We do everything. The only task they have at open is to brew the teas (that we have already prepped and dated so pour some hot water) and clean the ovens which they don’t even do. So for pretty much the entire close we are running a two floor while someone is on break. If someone calls out I’m on a two/ one floor from 12- close. The morning shift LITERALLY DOES NOTHING. I come in and the store is a mess the fridges are empty there is nothing left product wise, the tills are screwed up no cups or lids and everyone just stands around. I’m so burnt out and fed up over this situation. My manager tries to tell us if we call out for two shifts we need to take a leave of absence but it’s fine for the openers. I’ve worked here for 2 years and have only been approved for one vacation while all of the opening supervisors and the manager gets at least one set of time off a month. I have to skip my 10s to get everything done and the openers take 45-50 minute lunches, multiple smoke breaks and she has seen and been told this multiple times, she does nothing about it. On top of this we constantly get belittled about “the close wasn’t good” even thought it’s perfect we just didn’t “take more off the openers plate” I’ve had comments about counting the sandwich’s at night so they don’t have to for the pull in the morning.. they want us to put the orders away etc. I’m just so over it. Could I report this or am I just out of luck?
