This is random, but something I think is funny is how everyone has these crazy/outlandish, highly coveted, or entertainment specific jobs. No one is getting other degrees or working in a more traditional field. I get it’s Euphoria and it wouldn’t be as fun if Lexi worked as a drama teacher, but I do feel it loses some appeal with having both Cassie and Jules engaging in sex work, and both Maddy and Lexi working in the entertainment industry. Also it doesn’t make sense to me that Nate would be able to take over his dad’s company by himself. I feel he doesn’t have enough expertise, and it would make more sense for him to be in a smaller position or working alongside someone.
Edit- I think something like Nate’s older brother taking over the company or maybe Nate is a partner. He feels emasculated in his new job and inability to move up and also make money (due to all their issues). Maybe it causes an issue with his brother and coworkers. He has Cassie expecting him to be this big man bringing in the big bucks, but he doesn’t really know what he’s doing. He spent his entire time in high school dominating everyone else, but he ends up in a job where he’s just another guy listening to someone above him. While also listening to Cassie’s demands.
Maybe Jules is being a sugar baby but also working as an artist (at a gallery, teaching a class, trying to sell her art etc). Not just producing it. She’s trying to convince herself that she can get out of sex work and become a successful artist but just needs this temporary boost?
