I might be moving internally too fast (Labcorp)

I might be moving internally too much/ too fast (labcorp)

Hey guys,

I have been a phlebotomist at labcorp for almost a year.

I am interested in the LIS/ IT side of Labcorp after dealing with the lab systems as end user, and I’m currently studying health IT.

I worked in a PSC (patient service center) for 6 months and then moved to a IOP (in office phlebotomist) position under a different management which needed to be filled. It’s very independent and I like it.

I see a lot of job postings internally within Labcorp such as data processing associate, which falls under IT.

I qualify for it, and want to at least try to apply but I’ve switched positions two times already within Labcorp.

I want to be transparent with my manager, he’s been great, but I told him I’m interested in IT from the start.

But I’ve been in this IOP position for like 5 months only.

My end goal is working with lab systems within Labcorp. And I need to start getting more IT exposure and experience.

What do you think? Is it too early? I might be perceived as unstable/ or hopping positions, and managers might be scared I will vanish after 6 months :/

Hello, all. Phlebotomist here.
I have a question about the stability of ACTH
If I didn’t collect it in a chilled lavender
Centerfuged it after an hour of collection
Then aliquoted the plasma and froze it right away.
Do you think it will be fine ? I know how some of these hormones are unstable at room temperature for extended periods or even short periods.
Should I redraw the patient ?
