I recently was given my moms X-700 and not to surprise my it didnt work with new batteries. So i replaced both top and bottom capacitorss and still nothing. However it does work if I dont have the shutter speed dial in place. Without the shutter speed dial if i press the button down at a slight angle it makes contact and the camera fires. But if the whole assembly is in nothing happens. Not even the LED light up.

I ended up trying out the button from my grandfathers XG-1 in it and with the button in the LED are lit up even if im not touching it. But with that button it fires every time fine.

Is there any way to fix my X-700 shutter button?
