A TikTok scammer DMed this evening. Immediately started asking if I was single and what I was looking for in a relationship lol so I knew right away they were a scammer. The crazy thing is though that they asked where I live and I just gave the state I was in. They then gave me their “location”, which was not only the city I was in but they even named a neighborhood VERY close to me. I’m in a large city so there are tons of neighborhoods and typically people from here will ask “whereabouts in [city] are you?” Just to get an idea of general area since it’s such a big city.
Did this scammer somehow have access to my location or did they make a lucky guess? I don’t have any tagged videos showing my city or state on my page. They’re blocked obviously but I’m kinda weirded out.
