FACEIT idea: “+1 Elo” endorsements from non-premade teammates
One thing CS has always struggled to measure is impact that doesn’t show up in raw stats.
A player can completely change the outcome of a match through:
- good communication
- useful callouts
- keeping team morale up
- mid-round ideas
- helping coordinate teammates
- staying positive under pressure
…but none of that is reflected directly on the scoreboard.
So here’s an idea:
After a match, each teammate that is NOT premade with you gets the option to award you a small “+1 Elo endorsement” if they genuinely felt your contribution helped the team win.
I think this could help in multiple ways:
Reward invisible impact
Right now, while stats already show a good picture of how a player performed, there's still some elements that can't be quantified by stats aloneEncourage better communication
People would have more incentive to actually talk, give useful info, and help coordinate rounds.Reduce toxicity
A system that rewards positive contribution instead of only punishing bad behavior could shift the atmosphere in a healthier direction.Make solo queue feel less hopeless
Good teammates would finally have a way to directly acknowledge players who made the game easier to win.
Obviously the system would need safeguards against abuse/farming, but I think the core concept could genuinely improve match quality and player behavior over time.
Curious what people think.
