Burial Services in Denver Colorado

This may be a long shot but I’m looking for some help or advice. My wife’s Uncle who was an Air Force Veteran passed away April 25th at 81. My wife was able to get there to see him literally 10 minutes before he passed. We are from Florida he was in Denver. Anyway my wife was understandably shaken up and contacted a veterans only group that said they could handle everything from the cremation to the services at the national cemetery there. Well 16 days later we cannot get any straight answers, no updates, no death certificates, nothing.
I am a disabled vet myself and I’m trying to be supportive and reassure my wife but after two weeks, I’m honestly losing my…..
We think we have a telephone call scheduled for tomorrow with them but can’t even confirm that.
I have never had to deal with something like this and being 1300 miles away isn’t helping. Are there any support groups or advocacy organizations that you could suggest that may be able to help if tomorrow goes as badly as everything else has? We are currently paying his rent to keep his belongs safe until we go out for his services and although a stress money isn’t the main concern, there is a family member and veteran somewhere, that after 16 days we can’t properly plan for a service for because we are completely in the dark.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
