I've been getting laser hair removal for a long time (2-3 years). I haven't gone every month, but I estimate it's been around 20 sessions. I went every month for the first year. After that, due to busyness, it became more like every two months. I had laser treatment on my whole body; they use a diode laser. I'm dark-skinned with dark hair. I saw results from the first sessions on my face, underarms, arms, and legs; hair is growing back in sparse areas. The laser technician said that because my arms and legs are getting thinner, we should switch to ice laser there, but it hasn't been done yet. However, there's been no change in my genital area. There's been some thinning and reduction in the upper bikini area, but the inner area is still the same. I shower the day before the laser treatment and only shave my inner genital area with a razor, that's what I was told. They said it's a darker and more moist area and the hair follicles need to come to the surface, so it might take longer than other areas. They guaranteed 90% completion and I don't pay extra, but is it normal that I haven't seen results for such a long time? Are there any disadvantages to getting laser treatment for so long?
