First picture is almost two weeks post-op, second picture is four days post.

I was originally scheduled for surgery with Dr. Nazarian, but due to her medical leave, her team helped me get a consult and sooner surgery with Dr. Brill and Dr. McMahon, also at Jefferson Health. Brill is a breast surgeon and McMahon is a plastic surgeon, they performed the surgery working together. My experience with them was great—both docs and their teams were super friendly and respectful. Dr. McMahon was very helpful in helping me decide what type of results I wanted to go for, and had some pictures of results to show me at my consult.

My surgery went smoothly other than a couple hours delay in getting started, but the nurse kept me comfy while I waited. I have had no pain since about day 5, and my pain was well-managed on just the meds given on surgery day, the anti-nausea patch, and the post-surgery acetaminophen+ibuprofen schedule. Most uncomfortable part was the drains which I had removed one-at-a-time, on Days 7 and 11.

I am very satisfied with my results so far, looking and feeling better every day! I am happy to answer any questions as I didn’t see many posts on my surgeons/results on darker skin tones when I was going through my surgery journey!
