hello, i am studying human anatomy right now and i want to make sculpted bones. it’s to try and make my own model including muscles, bones, major organs, basically as much detail as possible. i already have felting supplies, but i want to sculpt bones and don’t know how to do this.

my ideal material is cheap and lightweight, but can have a relatively smooth surface. it doesn’t need to be extremely durable or even nice looking.

i’ve been seeing things online about using high density foam but the sensory aspect seems terrible tbh, lmk if you have experience with that

any ideas? what material and how to carve?

I work for a school in USA and my workplace has a huge amount of college level science textbooks and other materials like CDS and more. It is just taking up space and never gets used. We are talking about disposing of them, but of course everything moves slowly so it will be a few years. I am going to try and get them donated instead.

These items have been collected over around 2-3 decades, so most of them are older- I know that makes a difference in science.

Are there colleges in america or overseas that would like to have these materials? If so, how can I find them? Or is there a better way to donate them?

Hello, i’m someone who just graduated undergrad and I’m learning about graduate school and research.

I’m curious to learn more about the research process after the work is published. How does it get implemented? It seems there are people who do this, mostly in healthcare, psych, and education fields but I would like to learn more. i’m most interested in psych and education, but I would like to hear how it works in any field.

How can I store resources virtually, but only in one location?

idk if this is the right sub, lmk if I should try elsewhere. i dont know much about tech

i work in a place where we keep resources for people to review, but the resources are not allowed to leave the room. we have so much extra stuff that people never use, but we aren’t really supposed to get rid of it. i want to upload all the books, cds, ect. online.

however, if we use a website, people can access from anywhere. if we upload it to where we usually keep digital stuff, people have to request access 1 by 1 and it’s not feasible. our computers are VDI. any ideas? how can they be easily accessible but not in physical form?
