University of Rochester vs Stevens Tech with money involved
U Rochester is an excellent school for pre-med. Stevens is excellent for engineering and tech. My son wants to be a surgeon. He was accepted to UR with a good merit scholarship. He was also accepted to ST with a full scholarship. The difference over 4 years of schooling is 200,000 if he attends the University of Rochester. It is an R1 research school and has excellent medical school acceptance. Is it really worth going to UR for pre-med with that difference of expense? Stevens Tech is located next to NYC in Hoboken, NJ. My son has an existing relationship with a nearby hospital where he interns. What are your thoughts regarding programming, medical school outcomes and expenses in choosing a school?
