Any ideas what may have caused these identical tears in three of my blazers? All three are in the exact same spot on the left arm, at the exact same angle, and about an inch long. The tear is all the way through the outer material and the lining. These are not cheap (in the $1,000 range each) so I’m pretty irritated.

My first thought was the dry cleaner, because I’ve worn these jackets regularly for the last couple of years and only recently noticed the tears a few weeks ago after switching to a new dry cleaner. They, of course, insisted they’ve never seen anything like this and it couldn’t possibly have been their fault. They suggested snagging it on something in my car or my desk at work is more likely, but I’m not aware of anything that could have caused this.

Basically, I’m wondering if my cleaner is bullshitting me hoping I’ll just go away, or if they’re right and I’m the crazy one.
