[HELP] ASUS ROG Strix screen suddenly went black

tried everything, only thing left is opening it to check the connector**

Specs: ASUS ROG Strix, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 6GB

My laptop screen went completely black out of nowhere while I was using it. Everything else works fine — keyboard, RGB, the system runs normally. I have an external monitor and it works perfectly.

What I've already tried:

- Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to restart the video driver — nothing

- Full deep restart — nothing

- Win + P to switch display modes — nothing

- Checked Display Settings in Windows — internal screen not detected

- Checked Armoury Crate display settings — no GPU mode / MUX switch option available

- Booted into BIOS — screen was black on the internal display, only showed on the external monitor

Since the screen is black even in BIOS (no drivers involved), I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue — most likely a loose or damaged display cable near the hinge.

The only thing I haven't done yet is open it up to check if the display connector is properly seated.

Has anyone dealt with this on a ROG Strix? Is it likely just a loose cable, or could it be the screen itself? Any advice before I crack it open?
