My son 3.5 year, we got diagnosed this february. We have 2 languages at home (ukrainian, hungarian), also he had some hearing problems when he way between 1,5-2 years old. He is not fully nonverbal, he has some words: mom, dad, Lilla (his sister's name), meow (for the cat), come, go. Sometimes he tells us randomly some word. Also he really talented with music, and can sing a song after hearing it twice. Also when he speaks the words hd either shouting in high peech, or whispering them.We starting to work with a logoped (linguist specialist), we are doing different therapies for the autism, as he has problems with focusing, and does not repeat things like others, and does not point with his fingers. He also often repeats just some random word parts (vivivivi, kokokoko), also we saw that he was roleplaying with toys and made them speak to one another.
My question is, what do you think based on this will we have a chance that he will speak? Or he will be nonverbal forever? Thank you for your experiences.
