I’m planning a trip to Ubud and I’m trying to put together a shortlist of seafood-focused fine dining restaurants to visit while I’m there.
I’ve been going through a lot of recommendations online, but it’s still quite hard to understand which places are actually worth it beyond the usual tourist lists and Instagram spots.
What I’m mainly looking for are restaurants that focus on high-quality seafood fresh ingredients, well-executed dishes, and thoughtful presentation. Ideally, places where the food is clearly the main focus, but where the overall experience also feels special enough for a nice dinner.
I’m not necessarily looking for anything overly formal or stiff, but more for places that feel comfortable, relaxed, and a bit elevated at the same time somewhere you’d actually enjoy spending a few hours in the evening.
If anyone has been to Ubud recently or has personal recommendations, I’d really appreciate it whether it’s well-known restaurants or smaller hidden gems that might not show up in typical guides.
