Hello,

I’m looking into the long-stay “visitor” visa for France and would appreciate any feedback or insights.

I’ve previously had 2 short-stay visas as well as a long-stay “trainee” visa for France, all of which I respected (left within the allowed time, no overstays).

I am now planning to apply for a long-stay visitor visa.

Based on your experience or knowledge, I would like to ask:

  • Does having had multiple visas in the past (including a long-stay trainee visa) count as a positive factor in the evaluation of the application?
  • If the application is well-prepared, with strong financial proof and a clear purpose of stay, are the chances of approval generally good?
  • What are the most important factors that make a difference in this type of application (financial resources, ties to the home country, etc.)?
  • Finally, is a blocked bank account required or simply recommended? Can it actually strengthen an application even if the financial documentation is already solid?

Thank you in advance for your feedback and advice 🙏
