As the title states... I finally have created an AR.

I built my first ever AR last fall in repsonse to CA AB 1263. This bill functionally makes shipping gun parts a herculean effort for anyone who works regular 9-5 hours as you have to sign for the parts on delivery in addition to paying a 20 dollar fee. I jumped the gun and purchased a kit from Palmetto simply because it was cheap, picking up the reciever and kit for under 300 out the door.

Now, being a novice. I made lots of mistakes, and didnt quite order what I had wanted down the line. I recently removed my A2 gas block (dont) and found out I needed a new barrel for a free floating regardless.

I went ahead, ordered one to a local republican gun shop, because well, everyone's gotta eat. Lo and behold, I have now slapped a cheap optic, a handstop, a fixed stock, and the forbidden California grip on this bad boy.

This task was a frustrating at times but im immensely glad its over and I learned from it.

The next step is a drop in 22lr kit for my old A2 style upper. Now... behold my stuff!

The drill is with it before I began my mission after making it entirely compliant.
