No one was pleased, especially Lily who had a disgusted expression the entire time. She later wrote on social media, "“Isn’t music so unbelievable!? All those talented people coming together to make an art piece. It’s beautiful. I want to protect it forever. Let’s protect the humanity in music.”"
The Korean music agencies are not any different from anywhere else and most major production companies have adopted AI in some form or another to zero successes and backlash from fans. Back in 2020 one of the largest companies, SM Entertainment, debuted a new group Aespa who debuted with 4 members + AI avatars as well as a whole metaverse concept [not related to FB/Meta] for the rest of the artists under their management. Not a single artist wanted it and whenever they were asked about the concept idols flat out said fuck if I know. It was abandoned sometime a couple years ago and coincidentally, was when the group finally broke into kpop mainstream and are now a major group of the current generation
