Character appreciation
Paper Heron design is really amazing and she is absolutely adorable.. Her Arcane skill revolves around ancient art form of paper cutting, if I'm not mistaken then it is called Jianzhi, with it when she enters the battle there are many paper cutting in the field and most prominent the little red paper stick figure like shape throwing the Promtu.
Her clothing color pallette also is red (Again Jianzhi paper is mainly red) which is reflected in the paper accessories in her hair, the gown (Best I can describe) and on her arm (where she hold the sword). She also have plum blossoms in her hair and they come in 3 colour's Red, White and Pink which are all present in her outfit. The main blossom present in her hair is Mei flower often symbolize endurance or in this case long live; as they are the first to bloom despite the cold which fits Heron as longevity is core part of her character and the story.
I'm not sure but her outfit seems to Hanfu not historically visually accurate as it seems to be modified to fit her aesthetic of a traveling sword woman/ a lonesome Daoist, lose flowing outer robe, travel worn layered fabric which screams relaxed but dangerous to me, looking close it reminds me alot of Ru but I can't say for sure but it definitely is a classical Wuxia or specifically Xianxia visual language.
Honesty can't get enough of her, her confidence, small smile, half lid eye and how she throw paper at my face during her special animation (Where you click her torso and where you guess which hand of hers hold the paper).. Truly wonderful and if she ever somehow ran out I might just volunteer to be the paper that throws the PantsPomtu at the enemies.
Not to mention her gameplay is really fun (Atleast to me) sure I'm not collecting blue crystals like Beryl but plant affiliation had left a charm because of the priestess Druvis III. Which leads me to question should I pulled for An-An Lee?
Paper Heron definitely left a special place in my heart as she came to the suitcase with only 10 pull... Pity might involve but I'm never good at counting Pity.
