We took her to a specialist who diagnosed her but acted very unprofessionally so we would prefer not to return.
The other eye clinic is repairing their eye pressure reader so might have to wait until then unless I find another clinic - I'm calling around to find something sooner.
Her eye looked like a peeled cherry tomato when we started treatment and it was diagnosed as acute uveitis with glaucoma and prescribed prednisone to take orally (5mg every 12 hours) but also prednisone drops, yellox drops and trusopt drops (for eye pressure).
They said it was from a leish comorbidity; an autoimmune reaction.
The eye looked much better 10 days in but seems to have plateaued since then, or maybe it has gotten better I just don't see it which is why I'm trying to find another clinic.
Treatment started on 13th of April.
I'll attach pictures in order. 13th April, 25th and then 5th of May.
Any recommendations? I really hope she'll get the use of her eye back but fully understand it can go either way. She's healthy otherwise, eats, goes on her walks and isn't in pain or discomfort.
Any input welcome as I'm looking for actionable advice while I find somewhere else to take her.
