Hey everyone,

I wanted to share an update on a project I’ve been working on over the past few months.

I’m in the process of trying to establish a Lebanese Curling Association, with the long-term goal of building national teams and eventually competing internationally.

* Drafting a federation constitution adapted to Lebanese legal requirements and becoming an official association.
* Coordinating with the Lebanese embassy and getting guidance on the recognition process
* Connecting with clubs and individuals in established curling countries
* Mapping out a realistic development pathway (diaspora-first, then gradual domestic growth in partnership with the Municipality of Aley to make it the winter sport capital of the Middle East)

One encouraging thing has been how many countries have built programs from similar starting points, often through diaspora communities or a small initial player base.

Right now, the biggest constraint is obvious: no domestic ice and no existing player pool, which means the early phase likely depends heavily on Lebanese curlers abroad or athletes willing to train in established clubs.

Also, if anyone happens to know Lebanese curlers (or curlers with Lebanese heritage), or anyone who makes promo videos/reels for Instagram, I’d be really interested to hear from you!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on creating the Lebanese Curling Association with the long-term goal of having Lebanon compete internationally and eventually at the Winter Olympics.

Right now:
Lebanon does not have a curling federation, team, or infrastructure. So this project has been about building everything from scratch:

* Writing a federation constitution aligned with Lebanese requirements
* Working with the Lebanese embassy for guidance and support
* Reaching out to international curling organizations and mentors
* Connecting with diaspora communities in countries where curling is popular
* Designing a long-term plan for recruitment, funding, sponsorship and development

I’ve even mapped out a full step-by-step plan—from founding the association all the way to potentially building a facility in Lebanon one day in partnership with the municipality of Aley, making it the winter sports capital of the Middle East.

The reality is:
This only works if the diaspora gets involved.

Curling is huge in places like:

* Canada
* USA
* Switzerland
* Sweden
* Norway
* Scotland
* Brazil
* Australia
* Germany
* Russia

Which means there are definitely Lebanese people out there who either:

* Already curled/Experienced
* Have access to clubs nearby
* Or would be open to trying it/training for the Olympics

So I’m looking for:

* Lebanese curlers anywhere in the world
* Athletes (especially 16–30 range) interested in competing
* People who want to help build something national from day one or sponsor the team
* Anyone with connections to clubs, rinks, or communities

No experience is fine. If anything, beginners are easier to develop long-term.

This is still early, but it’s real and we’re already in contact with clubs and organizations abroad and in Lebanon to bring some positivity to the country.

If you’re interested (even slightly), comment please or DM @lebanesecurling!
Even just sharing this with someone helps.

Let’s see if we can actually make this happen 🇱🇧🥌
