Hello everyone! This is a bit of a long shot, but I’m hoping someone might recognize this artist.
I visited Venice earlier this month and bought a small watercolor from a woman painting near Piazza San Marco. She was set up along the waterfront just outside the square, on the Riva degli Schiavoni side under some construction scaffolding.
She had a sign that said “I don’t sell bullshit,” which was great - and her work lived up to it.
In the attached photo, her stall is not the one with the umbrella, but the one just beyond it, with smaller monochrome pieces on wide mats.
She was very kind, and her style is a very striking monochrome ink/wash (seen here). I thought I grabbed her card, but it turns out I didn’t.
I’d love to find her again to purchase more of her work. Does anyone happen to know who she might be, or how I could contact her?
Thank you so much in advance!
