Im looking for something to give me that Stormlight / First Law / Red Rising hit. Big world, great characters, and overarching epic plot, and exciting action here and there.

Currently on a reading slump due to a series really failing to meet my expectations and need something exciting and not connecting with characters.

Please do not recommend Sun Eater since I really dispised it after reading Empire of Silence, Lesser Devil, and Howling Dark. Nothing against people who love it, just really didnt like it.
