Hello!

I started playing the Investigations collection today, and just finished Turnabout Visitor. Not gonna lie, I didn't exactly grasp the Deduce system at first and messed up a few times, but I was surprised to see that the meter barely went down for each penalty, and even more surprised when the meter refilled after the investigation sequence.

I just wanted to ask: How many times can you afford to mess up before you get a game over?

I've seen many people complain about Ellie hitting Abby over the head with a wooden plank during the Theater fight, despite having a shotgun in her possession that she uses later on in the fight.

My problem with this fight lies elsewhere rather than the use of the wooden plank, because: I believe at that point, Ellie did not have any of her weapons. We see none of her weapons on her bag in the scene with Abby before the fight, and she throws her gun away due to the lack of bullets. So, in this case, it is completely justified for Ellie to hit Abby with the plank and run off with her gun.

Now, where did this shotgun/machete/bow combo come out of? I believe the developers gave Ellie these weapons purely for gameplay purposes, as they gave infinite bullets to Joel hanging upside down, to Ellie during the car chase, to Tommy during the sniper section. My problem is that summoning a weapon out of nowhere, compared to bullets, just seems so much more bullshit to me, if you catch my drift.

In conclusion, I understand that the developers wanted to make the fight more exciting and raise the tension further by adding the weapons from nowhere, but I just wish that they did it differently, maybe Ellie grabbing a metal pipe? Who knows. In any case, that's why I don't take any problem in Ellie using the wooden plank.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

It's a pretty old question, but I've never gotten a clear answer to this, so here goes.

If it were Ellie who were killed instead of Joel, would Joel have done the same thing as Ellie? Hunt down the WLF?
