I am a 30 yo female and just recently started contributing to a roth IRA for a year. Lately I have been considering relocating in 3 years either to Australia or New Zealand and eventually retiring there. I read somewhere though I am not quite certain the truth to it that I won’t be able to benefit from tax free growth if I withdraw my contributions and earnings upon 60 yo when I am in a different country because that country will tax me for the earnings. So my question is: Do I still continue contributing to a Roth IRA now or completely stop since I only contributed for a year anyway? And if I stop, do I withdraw everything now or wait till 60 yo? I am new to this and honestly very confused about my future retirement.
