I've been repurposing content manually for 2 weeks. Here's what actually takes the most time.

After my last post about blog distribution I decided to actually track where the time goes when repurposing one piece of content properly.

The writing itself, 10 minutes. The decisions, 60 minutes.

Figuring out the angle for LinkedIn, the hook for X, what to cut for the newsletter, what tone works where. That's where it all disappears.

Anyone else found a way to shortcut the decision part specifically? The actual writing I can do. The platform-specific thinking is what kills the habit.

Genuine question for this community.

You write something good, share the link, it gets a handful of clicks and disappears. No thread, no LinkedIn version, no newsletter snippet. Just a URL shared once and forgotten.

I know repurposing is the answer but doing it manually takes another 90 minutes per post so it just never happens.

Is this something bloggers just live with? Has anyone actually built a habit around repurposing and made it work?
