Why does healthcare in India feel so difficult no matter where you go?

Why does healthcare in India feel so difficult no matter where you go?

Every time I visit a government hospital, the same thing stands out to me.

Huge lines.
People waiting for hours.
Overworked doctors.
Families sitting on floors.

But then on the other side, private hospitals are becoming so expensive that middle-class families also struggle now.

Feels like healthcare in India has two extremes:

  • affordable but overloaded
  • fast but unaffordable

And honestly, this feels like one of the biggest real-world startup opportunities in India right now.

Not talking about another generic fitness app.

I mean actual healthcare problems like:

  • reducing waiting time
  • affordable diagnostics
  • fix prices

Curious what others think.

If you had to build a healthcare startup solving ONE real problem in India, what would you work on first?
