So with all the doom and gloom that the current landscape of the corporate world with management failing probations, downsizing and over reacting PIPs.
What are people saying their reason is for gaps? I’m from a corporate world, but had to take on a minimum wage job to keep the money flowing and to pay bills, food etc.
To be brutally honest I’m embarrassed about the job as it’s brain numbing and I’ve spoken to most of the factory labourers and it seem it’s a massive red flag as most have gotten too comfortable and have not moved positions in 3+ years there is some people stuck in the same role for over 12yrs.
I’m actively applying for roles and I’m getting interviews but corporate is moving slow let’s be honest.
In my contract for the first year my notice period is 1 week, how to I navigate this without revealing I in fact work a min wage labouring job?
I don’t want to downgrade my resume by putting it in there but do people normally say they are just helping their elderly parents and they just need a week to align things with the new job?
Trying to see what other have done in the past as I know it will come up why I have a notice period if I’m not working as it’s not on my resume.
The gap is only a few weeks not months at this stage.
