Assuming Smash 6 doesn’t pull another “Everyone Is Here” moment, one of my biggest hopes is that smashbros.com gets utilized more like the old Smash Dojo or Smash 4 sites, with veteran fighters getting revealed gradually in the lead-up to release instead of everything being saved for big Directs. Imagine the game gets announced like Smash 4, with a couple of newcomers right away and maybe 15 veterans confirmed. After that, instead of waiting months for the next major update, we’d get smaller, weekly reveals, like that Falco or Toon Link are returning along with updates on modes and other features. That kind of steady drip of information would go a long way in keeping the hype alive and giving the community something to talk about consistently all the way up to launch. Would also love to see the return of “Secret Fighters”, which are fighters that aren’t officially announced until after release of the game.
