Hay SW Family,

Found an eton field for 25 at second hand store. Thought it was worth a spin for that rate. I got some rechargable lithium batteries, when I use the batteries in this unit the signal is terrible (at least on AM). Does anyone have expeirience with this? Will this happen with all rechargable lithium cells. My modern SW radios all are desigined with rechargable batteries... thanks for any help.
