I play in VR, so I don't see the side window unless I look there (I can really only see the windshield and A pillar when looking forward), I was focusing on the exit because he was already clear of me, and only saw his tail step out when it was too late.

I obviously apologised because I hit him, he said he's going to file a protest. At the same time I feel like it is partly his own making since he spun the car by taking too much kerb. My fault and worth a protest for hitting him or just really unfortunate racing incident? Love to hear your thoughts on it.
