Be me. Go through the trouble of the Inverted Chalice quest. Got all my monster blood. Made it to the elevator shaft in one piece. Jumped... without Linen of Golden Threads equipped.

I was randomly struck by the memory of an image from some old kid's book I used to have and I wanted to look it up, but cannot seem to get an internet search to turn it up.

Any of these details could be slightly off due to the haziness of my memory, but some likely details:

• A small gang of rowdy badgers is involved (they start fights, eat food that doesn't belong to them, etc.)
• They're slightly anthropomorphized (dressed and stand upright, but otherwise look like badgers)
• Example of clothing: I think one of them wore a red Hawaiian floral shirt, but had no other articles of clothing on
• At some point they are passed out/asleep
• The protagonist tricks them into fighting one another to get rid of them
• I think it takes place in a cityscape rather than a small village or the "woodlands"

Like the title says, this would have been published mid 90s at the latest. It also felt like it was likely published in the 90s or slightly earlier. Long shot I'm thinking, but eh. I just hope to satisfy the brain bug.
