Renard R36 (1/48) built in workshop (end 1936 from photos)

The Renard R.36 was a Belgian all-metal fighter aircraft designed by Alfred Renard to replace the Fairey Firefly IIM within the Belgian Air Force. The prototype R.36 first flew on 5 November 1937, and this diorama shows its construction in the workshop late 1936.

The diorama is 1/48 scale (so the ribs of the engine and fuselage cages are approx 0,3mm thick). I designed everything in FreeCAD, sliced it In Lychee slicer, and printed it with Elegoo Mars4. The engine is an Hispano Suiza 12Y21. I used detailed plans and photos (replicated some here from this book). You can follow me on https://www.youtube.com/@ErikM60

It will be presented in Saumur (France) at the end of May.

Cheers

Erik
