I was reading “The Wisdom of Simone Weil: Attention, Affliction, and the Grace of Reality” and TBH a lot of it went over my head. One sentence resonated with me, however: “The world is the way it is; our duty is to make it a little better.”
But that wasn’t Simone Weil, that was her mother.
Was Simone Weil’s mother the greatest philosopher of the 20th century?
