I've been using an old Pflueger Echelon on a Berkly rod, and it's definitely helped me understand tuning a a baitcaster. However, it just cannot throw anything under 1/2 oz, and even then struggles until I get close to a 1 oz.
I am looking to get my first real reel, and am looking at the Curado and Tatula offerings. With the Curado, it's probably the MGL 150. With the Tatula, it's between the SV TW and Elite.
I would like it to be somewhat versatile, able to throw some lighter lures and top waters, but still be able to throw some plastics. Which would be the better "all around" reel?
