Frustrated with Duromax Prepurchase
I've been going around in circles with Duromax all week about their inverter generators being able to be in parallel. Right now, all they will say is that you can get a maximum of 50 Amps out of a single 50 amp plus.
What they wont say is if you can get more than 50 amps out of multiple plugs with a waveform that is synced between multiple generators.
I have two 50 amp generator inputs connected to a single busbar that has a 100 amp interlock in my main panel. They will tell you that you their generators can "double the power" but they wont tell you how to do that.
I know the sub says that the parallel kits are essentially bonding the L1+L1, L2+L2, and neutrals on the generators. Trying to sort out if I still need the parallel kit, of if I am good because this is already accomplished in the and that is accomplished in the subpanel with the two inputs.
I like the product but I am beyond frustrated with this service and I am worried that this is how things will be if something happens in the warrantee period. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere. Any suggestions?
Note: I want to go portable because I still need to take the generator to my farm occasionally, and I want to have two instead of one bigger one for redundancy.
