Actually, there were multiple potential spots for tissue harvesting. I’ve seen a range of theories on forums, from the straightforward (4-1=3) to the rather unusual (the idea being that because we never see Wrex without his armor, Mordin could have taken tissue from his hump). For the comic, I decided to approach it 'from a different angle'. 😏
