Fed up with abb
Hello it's just need to rant s little. I recently had several unpleasant situations in one of my apartments in the Canary Islands. As you can probably guess, I received no real support. The last situation was the final straw for me. My guests were having such a loud party that my neighbors were messaging me at 4 a.m. When I contacted Airbnb Support, I clearly explained that short-term rentals in the Canary Islands are under increasing pressure, and repeated incidents like this could seriously affect my relationship with the community and potentially my ability to continue operating. I also explained that if this happened again, I would have no choice but to remove the guests in order to protect my business, my neighbors, and my own peace of mind. I had already informed the guests about this.
The response I received from Support was that the only thing I could do was call the police, and that even if the guests were clearly breaking house rules and disturbing others, I could not ask them to leave. Fortunately, after one warning, the guests behaved respectfully, apologized, and caused no further issues for the rest of their stay. However, after yet another situation where I felt completely unsupported as a host, I decided I’d had enough. I made the decision to stop short-term renting and move to long-term rental instead. When I tried to remove my listing, I kept getting an error, so I contacted Support. They asked why I wanted to remove the listing, and I answered honestly — that the lack of support for hosts played a major role in my decision. After that, nobody asked any follow-up questions, nobody tried to understand what happened, and nobody seemed interested in the reasons behind my decision.
They simply removed the listing… and that was it..
It's sad that Airbnb is so shitty for us right now :(
Thx for reading my rant and I hope you guys are doing better
