Free walking event for tech professionals currently looking for work — London, Wednesday 13 May
I run a small community called Fire Circle, aimed at people in tech who are between roles. On Wednesday 13th May I'm running the first Fire Circle walk in London and wanted to share it here in case it's useful to anyone.
The format is simple. We meet at 10am in Green Park and walk north through the day through Regent's Park, Primrose Hill and Hampstead Heath, finishing around 2:30-3pm near Kenwood House. About 6-7 miles with natural stops along the way.
At each stop I'll open up a conversation. Nothing formal, just a chance to talk honestly about where you're at with the search, what's been hard, what you've learned. You share as much or as little as you want. The rest of the time you walk with whoever you end up next to. That's where the real value tends to be.
It's not a networking event. There's no pitching, no speed introductions, no agenda beyond having a decent day with people who understand what you're going through.
It's free. Places are limited to keep it genuinely conversational.
