Appreciate feedback

Good afternoon, I would appreciate feedback/critique on these two images. Both taken with a Rollei 35 S using camera light meter along with Ilford XP2 processed by Max Spielman Lab and then converted by me using Affinity Photo 2.

I am at the beginning of my learning curve with the camera, film and software. I am experienced with digital and began photography using film 50 years ago, so not a complete beginner.
I know there are some marks, dust etc, that I will work on later.
I am interested in your views on the sharpness, depth of tone, contrast, and anything else people might think useful.

Many thanks.

Star has an article about Uni of Sheff wanting to spend 300k on the former Hendo’s building. If memory serves right, didn’t they spend almost 1.5m on its renovation a few years back. I failed to see how that could have been spent at the time and another load of money seems unfathomable. Uni’s are supposed to be struggling.

Just copied some negative b&w film that I took recently. Film developed and processed by lab, look good to the eye. Using OM-D EM1 MK2 with JJC setup to scan. All appear ok on camera screen then saved to SD card. They appear solid black when viewed on my iPad Pro. Colour negatives from few weeks ago are ok.
Film Ilford XP2 copied in RAW.

So what am I doing wrong. Any help appreciated.

I am just getting back into 35mm film. I have a Rollei 35 S. Shot a roll of Kodak Colorplus 200 to see how the camera performs and get used to zone focussing and using the (not sure how accurate) exposure meter alongside Sunny 16. I have had lots of fun, relearning old techniques and its a great little camera.

I had a lab process the film then scanned the negatives using my OM-D EM1 MK2 and the 7artisan 60mm lens, not quite 1:1 but good enough for my purpose. I put the 20mb-ish scanned images into Affinity Photo 2 and inverted the negative then played around with the colour curves.

Finally, my question; how do i resolve the mirrored writing on the shop sign? Or can it not be done.

Your help appreciated.
