Yellow Fever Exemption for Uganda & Tanzania Trip
My husband and I are traveling from the US to Uganda first, then Tanzania and Zanzibar later this year, and are trying to understand the Yellow Fever vaccine requirements. We would prefer not to get the vaccine if possible.
We understand Tanzania does not require the vaccine when arriving directly from the US, but since we will be in Uganda first and then entering Tanzania/Zanzibar, we are wondering if that changes things.
My husband is over 60, so we understand he may qualify for a medical exemption. We are wondering if an exemption letter would be accepted for entry into Uganda and/or Tanzania/Zanzibar after visiting Uganda first.
Has anyone recently done this exact route with an exemption instead of the vaccine? Did you have any issues at immigration or border crossings,
