Shopping in my own closet

At my highest weight I was a 46 almost 48 inch waist. When I started back on tirz in December I was a 38. I am wearing these 32s right now very comfortably. Even my 36s are uncomfortably loose. I have a long torso and short legs. My inseam is so short that when I get down to a 28 I have to go buy boys’ sizes. Maybe I can find some tuff skin jeans at a thrift store!

I only have an old pic of the original because I’m dumb and didn’t take a current one. It was a basement scratcher tattoo from early sobriety 15 years ago and had turned into a blue-gray blob. It was overworked originally and bled super bad.

The cover is by a guy who has done most of my work and the coverup is in the lower paw. I keep staring at it because I love it so much. The wolf is for my son who was killed.

So maybe somebody is new and trying to figure out how to build out their daily intake. So here’s my basics.

Protein: I’ve been a First Phorm guy for a long time, and they got me through 2 marathons. I might occasionally replace or supplement a meal with a bar, depending on where I in my protein and calorie counts for the day but I have a shake usually with either a banana or a couple of eggs after a workout.

Cottage cheese - Man do I love the stuff. Either savory with a dash of Tony Chachere’s or with 2 peach halves. Always great any meal!

Greek yogurt: sparingly, because calories and it can really cause gastric issues if I overindulge. Also good with 2 peach halves.

Water bottle: Of course always present and I drink usually 5 of them a day.

Ramen: Because sometimes I’m at the end of the day and I just need some empty calories. It helps that I love Ramen, but also very easy on my stomach.

These Sam’s Club waffle things: I have to eat sugar or I stall, or I can get mildly hypoglycemic right after a dose increase too. A quick 3-bite waffle is the cure.

Not pictured: hard boiled eggs on hand and sometimes my wife will prep a few scrambled eggs. I limit myself to 1 banana a day, otherwise that’s all I’d eat. Fiber gummies every day. And a good multivitamin every morning (I prefer SuperNutrition SimplyOne)

I tend to have a sodium deficiency so the salt in all this is not an issue for me but YMMV. These things all have predictable calorie and macro counts. I keep a running tally every day so I can design dinner to meet goals. This isn’t everything of course and you need to add in variety like meats and vegetables, this is just my basic toolkit.
