ok so im doing a rewrite and i had the idea of Jack being a tree monster because his body got destroyed by the ritual and because it was a sacrifice to slenderman, who is also a tree monster, he felt bad and made jack a new tree body.

this would result in Jack's skin not being black as its difficult to find natural black trees. I could have him be gray as there are gray trees but his hair would most likely be either a shade of green or orange because they'd be leaves. He'd still have his mask with the tar coming from his eyes and he'd have a black hoodie.

tl:dr how attached are we to jack with gray/tar-black skin
