Is this part of the hoverfly?

(repost with better quality video)

I found what i assume to be a hoverfly larva in a dirty toilet. I put it in a little jar with two sticks and some dog feces to observe it. Sometimes this weird thing exits its anus and starts pulsating for a few second before coming back in. At first i thought about a parasitic cnidarian or lophophorate, but taking a better look at the structure i wonder if it could be the larva's gills.

The thing is: i thought they breath from the long trachea in their tail.

Somebody know what this is?
