Hello, I am planning a full house renovation and am a little confused as to the order of how to manage my project. I plan on changing the layout of my kitchen to accommodate a kitchen island and this involves taking down a wall to the dining room. I am also expanding a bathroom to accommodate a double sink and will probably have to take down a wall from the next door bedroom and use that closet space. I need help with layout and floor plan.
Who do I contact for this? I already have a contractor who recommended an architect to help with floor plan. However, is an architect truly necessary if I am not changing anything else in the house or can I use a draftsman? How about a space planning service like Julie Jones and then using a draftsman? I have also reached out to interior designers but I do not need their designing services with choosing finishes and such.
