So last week, I was able to join the exclusive club of people who have played the OG Halo games for Xbox at 5+ miles high. I also played some Crimson Skies, but did not get a picture, unfortunately.
I know that Xemu has existed for years, alongside PC handhelds like the ROG Ally, but Xemu has always seemed very hit-or-miss even with beefy gaming PCs, with some titles either not working at all, or working with massive graphical glitches, etc. I also know that the MCC for PC exists, but it's not OG Xbox :)
But with the rise of Xbox emulation for Android in February/March 2026, Xbox emulation became very accessible, very quickly, to a lot of people.
Device: Retroid Pocket G2.
Emulator: HakuX with Turnip v26 drivers
FPS stayed steady between 25-30 consistently, which is perfectly playable. I also modded the face buttons so that the letters are in the proper places :). Parden the blurry pictures - not a lot of space to lean back to get a good zoom-out when sitting in Economy class.
