Have I patch tested Miracle L? Yes
Have I used Miracle L in the past? Yes, one treatment
Am I allergic to anything? No
Did I take an antihistamine before treatment? Yes
Did I have epinephrine on hand? Yes

My current theory why I had the reaction? Not waiting long enough after the first treatment.

What happened:
I was halfway through my full face treatment of miracle L. This was my second round, three weeks after my first round. Everything was going smoothly. On my chin, the 4mm needle was in at an angle when I felt a small pop and kept injecting product. I remember thinking, where is the product volume going? I can feel it in my other injections, because it forms nodules under the dermis. It didn't seem to go into a vein, as there was no bruising. Not sure if that had anything to do with the results, but it was notable.
The reaction: I felt a quick onset of hot flushing all over the body. I started sweating and getting dizzy. I'd never felt this before. It was quick and sudden. I started preparing my epinephrine and gathering additional antihistamines as I waited to see how things progressed. I'm lucky my breathing was fine. After a few minutes though, I was close to passing out, so administered 30 µg of epinephrine. In hindsight, it could've been less, but it got my blood pressure back to normal. I continued to lie down and monitor the situation. I didn't experience hives, just extreme heat and all over itching after about 20 minutes, I got extreme period-like cramps. That's when I decided to call 911 to take me overnight for monitoring. I was still dizzy, and wasn't sure if it would progress. After about 20 minutes in the ambulance, things were fine and getting back to normal so we decided to save money and keep me at home. I ended up being fine, aside from the cramps. I slept well and had no continued symptoms.

Takeaways:
I don't know what happened yet. My current theory is I didn't wait long enough between treatments. I knew this could happen, which is why I had epinephrine on hand.

Side notes:
I didn't know cramping could be a severe side effect of anaphylactic shock reaction. It felt like an eight out of 10 on the pain scale, what I would describe as the worst period cramps I've experienced. I wasn't able to talk. I took ibuprofen and was fine 30 min later.

Whats's next?
I'm not touching the stuff. I want to figure out what happened. Follow every precaution when dealing with PCL. If I know what I did wrong, I would consider treatments again, but I'm a long ways off. I might do a follow up post on what I have learned. This happened 9 PM last night and I have a full working day.

If you got this far, thanks for reading. I appreciate this community and can hopefully answer any questions. Although I might not have answers yet.
