Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some honest feedback on my current Express Entry situation and what I should focus on next.
I came to Canada to study for Adv Diploma in Jan 2020 and started work Exp In TEER 2 i IT since July 3 2023, the day I applied for my work permit. I’m currently on a PGWP valid until Oct 2026 . I’ve been reviewing my CRS breakdown and here’s where I stand:
I’m currently working in Canada and will complete 3 years of Canadian work experience on July 4, 2026 (already have 2 years done). I’m 24 years old.
My language scores are:
- IELTS: strong scores overall
- TCF: also completed (French tested)
Estimated total CRS: ~503
My situation:
- Early Mid 20s
- Working in IT in Canada (will be 3 years on 4 July)
- Just got my French score 10 minutes ago : TCF R 690, Listening 367, Writing 7/20, Speaking 10/20 ( My Second attempt)
- IELTS : L8.5 R7.5 W7.5 S7.0
From what I can see:
- I am missing 6 points from IELTS since I have 0.5 band less in Reading and Speaking each
- In TCF, got 6 points due to reading, 3 points for Speaking, 1 point for Writing, 0 for Listening 😞
What I’m trying to figure out is:
- Is it realistic to just wait for draws to come down over time?
- Should I give another French Exam, Should I try to get those missing 6 points from IELTS?
- Also, When will IRCC grant me the 3rd year experience points - 11 Points. (I know even if receive the ITA before 3 years, will wait to Apply after my 3 years are completed).
