My tiny and lovely Rhododendron earlier today. I’m very new to gardening and initially planted this too deeply in poorly draining soil. I was worried that I’d ruined it but replanted and here we are here a few weeks later. Each bud and blossom and new colour has brought such excitement. As in life, I’m learning that the joy of gardening is very much in the small things.

Apart from the obvious fact that I’m terrible with camera angles. (If I wasn’t, you would also see a case of butter, full fat unhomogenised milk, carrots, cucumber and some stray onions in a ziplock.)

Go to for no time for cooking days like today when I’m getting groceries and metaphorical plate’s full with work. (Excuse the portion size, I’m more of a dinner girl!)
